I don’t usually make posts like this, but rarely do I feel convicted enough to. I have to say, out of all of the ads that are playing right now, the advertising for the Dodge Dart is absolutely an example of great modern advertising. Aesthetically, sonically, in message, these ads are just pure gold.
What these ads do well in my opinion is they tear down the fourth wall in advertising, including consumers in every part of the creative process and making everyone watching a Dodge design expert. In this aspect, they remind me of the famous Bernbach Volkswagen ads from the 60s that changed face of advertising.

In every ad, Dodge is letting the consumer in on the secrets of their inspiration and marketing schemes while keeping it funny and cool.
Combine all of this with the score of Grammy winning track “No Church in the Wild” and excellent typography (still looking for that font!) and you have one good ad.
